You wont win any XC races with it, but if you turn on the propedal on the shock, it climbs decently. Rememeber, it still is a 7" travel bike so dont expect it to be the best climbing.

I read your question about the Faith vs. the Scratch in the Whislter thread. I rode a faith for two days in Whistler and it was great. It pedalled and jumped great for a longish travel bike but still handled the downhills well. Good luck picking one!
